Ivan Rendulic is the CEO and Founder of RexRea medical tourism consultancy company from Croatia and the founder of the leading medical tourism platform in Croatia - ZagrebMed, supported by the Ministry of Health of Croatia, Zagreb Tourist Board, City of Zagreb and Croatian Chamber of Economy. Ivan is an active patient facilitator and is engaged in the development of health and medical tourism in Europe by working closely with private insurance companies, EU associations, hospitals and clinics and is a frequent speaker on the topic of medical tourism.

Christian El-Khouri is a seasoned medical and health tourism veteran with extensive expertise in international patient services, healthcare consultancy, and medical tourism operations. He has dedicated his career providing patients with access to the best suited healthcare services and now pursues this goal through advising destinations on developing health tourism strategies, structuring sustainable medical tourism operations, and building health tourism ecosystems. Christian is a prolific speaker and publisher, with a focus on innovative solutions. He has served for and built numerous companies in the space, such as the International Patient Service Germany, health-tourism-news.com and serving as head of consulting for MESC, Germany's first medical tourism company. He has successfully implemented strategies that significantly increased international patient inquiries and reduced operational inefficiencies for leading healthcare institutions. Further he serves as advisor for numerous startups and organisations around the globe.

Maria Afsar Nazari is the creator and executor of MariaCares Sweden AB – the platform where patients can seek medical treatment all over the world. Maria is a medical tourism professional with almost 20 years in the field. Many years of professional experience in patient service and building networks between hospitals and medical professionals in various countries all across the world. Active participant and speaker of the most prestigious events inside medical tourism industry. Being certificated by the International Medical Tourism Association (USA) in 2014, Maria redirected her career from being General Manager of a medical assisting company to her private business.

Pierre Hollenbeck is the founder of Medcom, a company specializing in marketing and international healthcare provider support for those entering the European market. Medcom was established in April 2004 and quickly became a pioneer in the French market by offering the first hair transplant services in Turkey. The following years, the company diversified its offerings, providing dental and cosmetic surgery options and operates now on 17 countries. Today, Medcom continues to drive innovation, overseeing an expanding range of specialties, including stem cell treatments and high-end orthopedics, with a mission to offer the largest network of specialized clinics catering to international medical patients as well as promote the industry's best practice. In 2024 he co-founded the European Health & Medical Tourism Association based in Brussels.

Based in Barcelona, Spain, Mariángeles Tapia brings over 35 years of experience in global medical tourism. As the CEO of Bayparker Consulting and Spain Healthcare Tourism, Mariángeles has been instrumental in the development of the Barcelona Medical Destination brand and has a strong connection with the Barcelona Medical Center, the first medical tourism association established in Spain. Her commitment to quality is further exemplified by her role on the ISO/TC 228 WG2 Medical Tourism expert committee and her extensive work in implementing international standards, including JCI accreditation. Currently, as a senior consultant, she leads initiatives that prepare clinics and wellness centers for international patient care, ensuring quality management systems. Her company also provides specialized concierge services to help international patients navigate their treatment choices. We are excited to add Mariángeles's expertise to our advisory board.
